Dream Catchers -

At a recent club meeting Nancy Paschall, executive director of "Dream Catchers," spoke about their program which uses horses to help handicapped children. She thanked our club for its continuing support and emphasized their need for equestrian equipment. Club member Amanda Aguilar contacted her father in Arizona who owns horses and asked it he had spare equipment that he could donate to Dream Catchers. Reading Is Fundamental -

As part of its Reading Is Fundamental program, Colonial Capital Kiwanians read weekly to 64 Head Start students ages 3-5 in four classrooms at the Griffin-Yeats Center. The Club buys books for the classroom and throughout the year distributes books to the students as take-home material --with the goal of stimulating home reading with parental supervision.
